Used some vacation days, spent some time flying standby, and took a ton of photos. The perfect time to catch up! Also - our fall mums survived the winter and are budding new flowers right now with all of the rain… a happy accident/experiment…

Conversation: Spirit-Filled Gratitude
Two Sundays ago was Pentecost Sunday - where the Catholic Church celebrates the descent of the Holy Spirit following Jesus’ ascension into Heaven. The liturgical calendar gives us such a generous period full of celebrations. Pentecost is definitely one of my favorites.
After Pentecost Mass, I was filled with such gratitude while on a long walk. I was reminded of how grateful I am for the gift of the Holy Spirit and truly for where it shows up in my life. It’s from the little things like feeling full of life from fresh air and movement to the big things like being able to embrace and share our unique gifts/talents/strengths with others. It gives me hope, strong intuition, and an energy to pursue the good things in life.
So while I was soaking in the last of the jasmine scent of the season along the walking path, I felt compelled to note down what I was grateful for and reflect on where the Holy Spirit has been working and showing up in my life.
It was a beautiful moment and a practice I want to come back to again and again. Here’s to more spirit strolls!
